Professor Clark- I want you to only grade my narrative essay because in my opinion this was my best essay out of all of them. I'm going to give a description and analysis of this essay and I want you to please read it so that it can count it as my final grade.
*Personal narrative*- this is the essay that I want to be graded on. My essay talks about never lying to two best friends because it will cause more problems than at first. I feel I did an extraordinary job because I was surprised by how much I wrote. Usually, I don't write enough when I'm writing, especially when I’m backing it up with details. But, here I did well because I actually wrote lots of details to make it sound a bit more interesting and longer. I still agree that I could have developed the explanation of my thesis a bit stronger so that my story could of been more visual. This could of helped others visualize what I saw when I witnessed the event. Also this essay teaches a moral lesson, in not lying to your friends.

These are some of the other essays that I've done--feel free to look at it, but don't consider it for my grade.
*Critical essay*- in this essay I criticized one of my favorite movies. The movie that I chose to criticize was “Scarface.” I really enjoyed doing this essay because I did research to find information about this film. This essay is one of my favorites because I’m criticizing my favorite film, and I get to criticize my favorite actor. Also, in this essay I talk about the positive and negative aspects from this film.
*Position paper*- in this essay I’m taking a position on an issue that takes place in the world. My essay talks athletes that shouldn’t get paid so much. These athletes are just entertaining us while presidents, cops and doctors have a more serious job and get paid less. I liked that I used a lot of information by using examples of real athletes to back up my position. I still think I needed more sources, but overall I did well on this one.
*Class essay*- in this essay I talk about an essay of Toni Morrison called “Cinderella Stepsisters.” In this essay I answered questions that relate to her essay. To be honest I really didn’t like this essay because I didn’t write about oppression in general. I wrote about how only women treat other women cruel. I could of have talked about how men treat men wrong too. I could have given examples to make it clearer and show how women are not the only one’s that oppress each other. There is a lot more on this issue, and with more time I would of liked to explain that.
