Hello Proefessor clark

My name is Karma Brown, and I would like to take some time out to tell you a little about myself. I promise this will be a brief narrative about myself, as not to drag you along with my life and my interest which is very boring (smile).

I came to BMCC in the fall of 2002 when everything in my life seemed to just give way under my feet. I lost my job, I lost my apartment, I lost my man and I almost lost my sanity but I knew that was one thing I had to keep in order to take care of my son, oh, by the way, I have a nine year old son who helped me through that trying time in my life and to whom I am forever devoted.

For my grade I am submitting to you my 90 minute paper. The reason why I am submitting this piece of writing to you for my final grade is because, for some reason "not to participate in the oppression of your sisters" are very haunting words to me. Toni Morrison touched something in me with these words and I Believe that I expressed my feeling about this phrase very strongly. I had a wonderful time writing it and I think you will enjoy reading it.

Here is some of my work that I believe helped me throughout this semester. When I say it helped me I mean that it helped me to express myself and open up in Professor Ugoretz class and in my other courses. Pleases feel free to take a look:

THIS HURTS ME MORE THAN IT HURTS YOU--personal narrative- this piece is a personal piece, a poem actually about the love of my life. For over a year I believed that he up and left me but, come to find out he was in a very bad accident that left him in a coma for a while and in this poem I am just expressing my longing for him.

Celina Padilla: Ever heard of the expression: What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger? In your case I truly believe this is true. I love your poem "this hurts me more than it hurts you", i find it very deep and emotional. I know you going to do great in the future, you have a great motivator and coach....your son! Karma,Whats your dream?
