Like Jim, I was very sorry that I had to miss the Macaulay sessions at the IT conference. The Honors College is obviously a hotbed of open-source experimentation at CUNY, and we can't have enough of that. I very much hope that I'll have the chance to work, play, and experiment with you at some point in the future! In the meantime, I'm excited to have found your blog, and I look forward to following your work through it.

Hey Joe,

In fact, missing the session about the Instructional Technology Fellowship at the IT Conference was one of my concerns. Interestingly enough, I got my start in this field through the outfit you are now directing and it is a really special place for teaching and learning technologies. Additionally, I can officially say congratulations on the new position. You are in a truly unique space to make some serious in roads with all this stuff, and you have some great people on board to help. I'm not sure what your plans are, but you and I should talk some more I would love to chat about a couple of things we couldn't talk about at the conference due to the overlap.

I'm at jimgroom_at_gamil.com, and I'll be entirely honest -- I want to talk WPMu with you. Think open source, simple, publishing platforms for teaching and learning that can just as easily be portfolio tools for the incoming classes. You could really feature the work of CUNY's newest experiment in some fascinating ways. Finally, I'm sorry to always be the salesman, I must have watched USed Cars one to many times as a kid :)

Thanks for the link, and congratulations on all the cool stuff happening in your life at the moment.
