Hi! I just found your blog as I was Googling middle schools. My son is in 5th grade right now and I'm going through that horrible stressful process. I really enjoyed reading your blog about your school visits and your thoughts about the schools. We ourselves visited Sunset Park Prep and were very impressed by it, and like you, were surprised that it's a school none of the Park Slope (or in our case, Windsor Terrace) parents seem to know about or mention as a possibility. I myself am leaning toward a newer school called the Urban Assembly Academy of Arts and Letters - I went on the tour, and it seems perfect for my son - with SSP as the second choice.

What you wrote about the stress and the No. 1 and No. 2 choices - oh, yes. I keep thinking, okay, I have my first three choices (New Voices is No. 3), but now I need "safety schools" in case he doesn't get into those. I'm checking out MS 88 (Peter Rouget) next week - I hope it's good.

Anyway, your middle school blogs are from two years ago so you probably don't even care anymore, LOL, but I just wanted to say that your posts really struck a chord with me.
